Steering Committee...............

Elizabeth Grace

Steering Committee Chair: I'm a local architect and although we live in Capitol Hill, my daughter attends the Spruce Street School the denny triangle--one of very few urban elementary schools. With my daughter and her many classmates in mind, I have been part of the Denny park for two years. As chair of the steering committee my focus is very much on creating a vibrant outdoor space that represents the changing demographics of downtown Seattle. [Email Elizabeth] eg@urbanmixseattle.com

Media Relations : Over the past seven years I’ve helped on several park projects. I enjoy volunteering on civic projects that benefit our neighborhoods. Being a steering committee member gives one a sense of what it takes to renew a city park. Plus, it gives satisfaction that you have input in a park that future generations will enjoy for decades. I encourage others to join the steering committee or a sub-committee on improving this historic and important city park. We seek your help, knowledge and resources to transform this stately park into a proper green space in the revitalized Denny neighborhood. [Email Jim] famsykes@comcast.net

Leslie Parrott

Community Outreach: I love the city of Seattle so much that I am raising my little boy right in the heart of it. I would love to be a part deepening relationships and revitalizing spaces in my neighborhood, which is South Lake Union. marriage and family therapist and co-director of the Center for Relationship Development at Seattle Pacific University. You can also find me online at Real Relationships.com. [Email Leslie] llp@spu.edu

Kristin Beck

Event Organizer (and connoisseur of local bands): I'm a freelance writer and event planner. I think Seattle is the best place to raise my two grade school-aged children because of all of the incredible public parks. After the kids go to bed, my husband and I like to sing guilty-pleasures 70's love songs in our jammies. [Email Kristin] kristin@beckliotta.com

Pamela Kliment

City of Seattle Project Manager for Parks: I have been managing community initiated projects for nine years. I have worked on projects all over the city and like the challenge of working in an urban park. The City is very supportive of the project and encourages many, many volunteers to join this well organized group. [Email Pam] : Pamela.Kliment@Seattle.Gov

Clifford Tatum

Website Maintenance: I'm a recent owner/resident at The Cosmopolitan Condominiums in Denny Triangle. I love the urban essence of my new neighborhood and I'm optimistic about its future. However, there are very few green spaces nearby. Working with the Re-envisioning Denny Park crew is a way for me to contribute to the resurrection of our only neighborhood and open space. I'm also interested and making Denny Park dog friendly. Send an email if you have any questions, suggestions, or requests about the website: cliffordtatum [at] yahoo [dot] com.

Jasper Jezebel

Dog Outreach : I'm all about Urban Dog Presence. We dogs are increasing in numbers within the downtown core, yet our favorite grassy areas are decreasing in size and quantity. My role on the committee is to increase awareness about the relationship between urban growth and increased population of urban dogs. Come to my blog and join the urban dog movement.
